Busy year for City Lodge
City Lodge is gearing up for another busy year. It celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, marked by the launch of seven hotels, most of which will be ready in time for the World Cup.
An extension to the Town Lodge Grayston in Johannesburg to add on 70 rooms will also be completed mid-year.
The new City Lodge Fourways in Johannesburg's northern suburbs has opened the first 100 of its 211 rooms. The hotel is opposite Montecasino entertainment complex and set to fill a gap in this busy node.
Rooms offer either double or twin beds and sleeper sofas on request; flat screen televisions with satellite channels; separate bath and shower; desk with lighting and plugs for connectivity; WiFi access in all rooms; electronic safes large that fit laptops; and tea and coffee making facilities. One in 50 rooms is designed to meet the needs of the physically disabled.
The popular City Lodge breakfasts are available, as well as a coffee shop offering a comprehensive menu with hot and cold dishes, including salads, wraps, tramazzines, soups and main meals. The bar area includes a sundowner deck.
The coffee shop is now a feature in some of the City Lodge hotels to accommodate a lunchtime offering.
Other services include a fitness room, two boardrooms, swimming pool and secure underground parking.
The group will announce its interim results on 18 February.
